Welcome to Losing My Belly. The blog focuses on my personal diet journey and the Ketogenic Diet (Keto diet). The Keto Diet has shown promise in managing neurological disorders, as well as helping many find their appropriate dietary balance. In a nutshell, a high fat, lower carbohydrate, properly balanced protein diet helps the body re-train itself to burn fats instead of carbohydrates.

I started dieting in high school. Concerned about our weight, we would eat only yogurt for lunch (Wow! High in carbs.), or skipping food completely, just drinking water for as long as we could stand it. Back then, a diet like this would mean certain weight loss with our metabolism burning at optimum speed.
