Losing My Belly 6/14/2018

The scale is going down. I believe that it is because I am posting everyday. Holding myself accountable. It’s working.

Yesterday was a hectic day. I had coffee with 1/2 n 1/2 and Swerve and I didn’t eat until 3:00 in the afternoon. I just was too busy and with the no sugar thing. I wasn’t even hungry. Let’s recap: eating sugar and fruit I am starving the next day and hard to control my eating, to no sugar consumed to being in complete control of my appetite.

When I did eat, I baked a couple of chicken breasts, and served an arugula salad on the side with blue cheese dressing. I also baked some potatoes that I offered my family. I had a handful of fresh blueberries for dessert.

Then I woke up at midnight and couldn’t go back to sleep. A sign of adrenal fatigue which I have had since my late 30s. Insomnia! I took a ambien and washed it down with Alka Seltzer for colds because I was stuffy and had a slight headache. When I take Ambien, I will have an uncontrollable urge to eat (Google it and you see it is a nasty side effect of Ambien.) and I got up and ate some peanut butter out of the jar and some hard cheese after that in front of the TV.

I try to avoid taking Ambien for this very reason: sleep eating.
